Edgar and Cortney wade through the dangers of ignoring side effects when pursuing desired effects. They also explore the fact that we are always operating at full capacity and in order to allow room for new things, we have to let other things go.
In this weeks episode, the guys kill 2 birds with 1 stone as they highlight side effects and operating at full capacity. Cortney reminds us of the pharmaceutical commercials that we see on television, showing the happy family enjoying themselves. They are usually all smiles, frolicking about. The commercial will introduce the medication and boast about its ability to alleviate a certain ailment. Then towards the end of the commercial the side eddects are discussed. They are usually read in a very pleasant tone just before the commercial cuts off. They are almost passed off as something you would want. We have to pay close attention to those side effects as well as the ones associated with our daily decisions in life. After that, Edgar dives into the concept of operating at full capacity. He reminds us that in order for a new thing to come into your life, something else must be diminished in order to make room for it. He likens it to a restaurant or club that has reached the max capacity. No one else is allowed in until someone else exits. Strap in, enjoy, and EVOLVE!
