Edgar and Cortney dive into some of people's age old excuses for bad habits. "That's just how I am", "I'm not a morning person", "I haven't had my coffee", " I haven't eaten" are all exuses to keep a bad side of you alive.
We all have our ways and all ways end in ys (Why's). However that doesn't mean that all of our ways are good ways. We carry some bad ways over from our childhood into adulthood and we also come up with excuses to keep them. We hear the excuses all the time: "I'm not a people person." , "I'm not a morning person", "I'm from the hood, I'm not college material." "I can't quit smoking to get a job." "They won't let a black man do that" , "This is all I know." .. All of these are negative affirmations that soon turn into beliefs, and we know belief to be the most powerful drug in our Universe. That side of you must go away to continue your evolution. Yet, there is no way for it to go away if you continue to breathe life into it. We must grow to the point where we tell ourselves that it is not ok and we make a habit of doing and telling ourselves the opposite. Strap in, enjoy and evolve!
